The Netherlands, also referred by the name Holland is a constitutional monarchy, located in northwestern Europe. It is bordered by the North Sea to the north and west, Belgium to the south, and Germany to the east. The official language spoken in Netherlands is Dutch, as English is also widely spoken. The Dutch higher education institutions offer about 1000 international study programs and courses which are taught entirely in English. It has an advanced quality for higher education. Education System:
The tuition fees in Netherlands are very reasonable. International students such as from Nepal needs a work permit and have two options to work while study. First is either the students work less than 10 hours a week in a year, or a full-time during the months of June, July and August only. Bachelor programme at a university requires three years of full-time study, i.e. 180 credits to complete whereas bachelor programme offered by a university of professional education requires four years of full-time study, i.e. 240 credits. Master programme at universities of professional education and institutes for international education will last one to two years, i.e. 60 to 120 credits and the doctorate programme takes about 4 years.
