Students must pass +2 or equivalent graduate to study in Japan. They should not have been rejected before, either for the Japanese student visa or certificate of eligibility. Whether you have entered Japan with the status of “pre-college” student or “college student”, you will be allowed to work part-time to enhance your living expenses and broaden your learning environment. “Pre-college” status students are able to work up to four hours per day and international students studying at universities on a “college student” status of residence may work up to 28 hours per week and up to eight hours per day during the vacation periods.
