China is a cultural region and ancient civilization in East Asia. It is one of the world’s oldest civilizations, consisting of states and cultures dating back more than six millennia. China is one of the world’s oldest continuous civilizations and is the source of many of the world’s great inventions, such as paper, compass, gunpowder, printing etc.

China is being the well known target for further study for international students such as of Nepal. Most Nepalese students go to China for the study of medicine as Chinese Universities are less expensive in cost and highly reputed in technology. Several of the medical universities find a place in the World Health Organization (WHO)’s “Directory of World Medical Schools”.

Now days, many courses are offered with the medium of instruction in English and the number of weekly tests and examinations to be taken during every academic year is strictly formulated by the head of the institution. Student’s performance are marked as “Passed” or “Failed” and in examinations as “Excellent”, “Good”, “Satisfactory” or “Fail”.

Education System:

To study in China, capitation fees or donations are to be paid to the universities. The costs of education in the universities in China are very reasonable compared to other universities abroad. The fee structure for every university varies from each other. Normally the session of universities in China starts from August/September of every year.
